The goal of the Albany Herald's 40 Under 40 program is to recognize 40 people the age of 40 who are committed to shaping our region and making it a better place for everyone.

The deadline for nomination is March 7, 2008.

Last year, we honored 40 people, ranging from corporate CEO to non-profit volunteers, from people working behind the scenes to those on the front lines.

The bottom line is 40 under 40 is all about a commitment to our region.

If you know someone who deserves to be honored, be sure to submit his or her name for consideration.
