Bonna Gene Reviere Davis

ALBANY — The funeral service for Bonna Gene Reviere Davis, 83, of Albany, who went to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 16, 2008, will be conducted Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Mathews Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. The family will have a private interment. John Spencer, Ross Powell and Stephen Kendricks will officiate.

A native of Gold Dust, TN, Mrs. Davis had lived in Albany since 1948, moving from Ripley, TN. She was an administrative supervisor for 33 years for the City of Albany Public Works Department, was a member of the Sowega Dance Club for 20 years and a member of Sherwood Baptist for 50 years, where she attended the Agape Sunday School Class. Mrs. Davis was very musically inclined, playing piano for her Sunday school class and taught ballroom dancing as well. She was a wonderful mother, believed in a strong Christian background and education for her grandchildren and knew and served her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include a son Ronald (Ron) R. Davis and his wife Lisa, of Houston, TX; two daughters, Terri Strawder and her husband, Johnny and Bonna Jean Davis, all of Albany; three grandchildren, Kristy Tyus and her husband, Brian, James Randolph Strawder, all of Albany and Carrie April Smith and her husband, Shawn of Leesburg; two great-grandchildren, Madyson Tyus of Albany and Christian Smith of Leesburg; two brothers, Russell Reviere and his wife, Sammie and James Reviere and his wife, Louise, all of Ripley, TN, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Davis at 1801 Pearl Ave., Albany, GA 31707.

The family will receive friends today (Monday evening) from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s Christian educational fund at Artesian City Federal Credit Union, 100 Flint Ave., Albany, GA 31701.

ALBANY — LCDR John N. Smith, 83, of Albany, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home. Full Military honors will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral hour one hour before the service.
